Adelaide’s Schutzenfest

Schutzenfest is a bit like Oktoberfest but with beer and guns! The event has been popular throughout Germany for hundred’s of years when towns celebrated with a shooting festival followed by a fun day of beer drinking. This weekend on the 11th and 12th of Jan Adelaide will be holding its anual Schutzenfest at Bonython Park just outside the CBD. Plenty of beer and German fare will be on hand along with a shooting gallery for a bit of traditional schutzenfest fun.
