Hurstbridge Wattle Festival

By wattsy | August 25, 2008

This Sunday the 31st of August is the Hurstbridge Wattle festival, a significant cultural event for Melbournians that has its roots firmly planted in our early rail history. It’s a joyous celebration of our heritage, environment and community. vintage cars and motorcycles, vintage fire truck, Cobb & Co coach rides roving entertainment, a live stage and heaps more, Hurstbridge is 40 mins from Melbourne’s CBD and is the last train station on the Hurstbridge line with a steam train running from the city on the day. http://www.wattlefestival.org.au/index.php?pgid=2
