Launceston’s Great Duck Race

By wattsy | April 15, 2008

This Saturday the 19th of April is the Rotary Club of Central Launceston’s Great Duck Race. The Great Duck Race gets under way with a spectacular helicopter drop of cute rubber ducks in many colours into the North Esk River. The course is 500 metres between Lower Charles Street, where the helicopter drops about 3,000 ducks before they float towards the Tamar Street Bridge. All monies raised go to the schools, non profit clubs, Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania or special Rotary local charities.
