By wattsy | May 19, 2008
This Sunday the 25th of May is the annual Goomeri Pumpkin Festival where approximately 13,000 visitors flock to the tiny town to enjoy the fun filled day the Pumpkin Festival is now well known for. The day includes great entertainment, fun novelty competitions, delicious food and warm, friendly country hospitality. The highlight of the festival is the legendary Great Australian Pumpkin Roll. At 2pm pumpkins of all shapes and sizes go rolling (and splattering) down Policeman’s Hill. Plenty of fun and laughter fill the hill with competitors trying to win the generous prize money.
