Queensland is Australia’s sunshine state and this thriving state home to just over 4 million Australians. Queensland is one of the most popular holiday destinations with great facilities and so much to do and see. The state has so many contrasts, the southern coastline is home to the Gold Coast- Australia’s playground, sun, surf and high rise apartments including some of the world’s largest skyscrapers jammed packed with holiday makers- Gold coast is also home to Australia’s best theme parks. Heading north Brisbane the capital is a cosmopolitan bustling city on the banks of the Brisbane River. The Sunshine coast is further north – again sun beach and holidays is all the go. Heading north towards the tropics is Townsville, Cairns, Mackay and Bundaberg rich in sugar cane farming and the entrance to the Great Barrier Reef and some of the worlds most magnificent rain forests. Inland and its not to far before you hit the real Australian outback and the Atherton Tablelands where these barren lands are home to cattle farming and mining.
