Geelong
Geelong is the second largest city in Victoria after the capital Melbourne and its greater region is home to just over 200000 people.

Once a major manufacturing and port city Geelong is home to the Ford Motor Company, Alcoa and Shell and Deakin University. Geelong in recent years has become one of the best tourist and event destinations in the state.
Gateway to the world famous Great Ocean Road and famous costal towns of Torquay and Queenscliff, Geelong is a thriving and diverse region.
The city basks on a northern facing bay front, one of only a few in Australia. It’s recently developed waterfront precinct has won world wide awards and praise for its clever blend of recreation, tourism and commercial space and architecture.
Geelong is served by rail, major highways and a recently addition of a major domestic airport serviced by Jetstar at Avalon which has several flights daily from popular capital cities.
Popular events in the region include The Australian International Airshow, The Bells Beach Surf Classic, Skandia Yachting Festival, The Geelong Speed Trials and several major endurance based races.
Geelong has its own AFL Football Club- The Cats which play many home games at the recently expanded Skilled Stadium at Kardinia Park.
The City has major CBD shopping precinct, with most of the major brands represented. There is a great nightlife with many pubs, clubs and restaurants and the region grows some of Australia’s best wine.
Avalon Airport, home of domestic carrier Jetstar is only 15 minutes from Geelong’s CBD. The City is also only an hours drive from Melbourne and is at the start of the Bellarine Peninsular and the Surf Coast, making the Geelong region well worth a visit.
