One must visit street with a bohemian style is Brunswick St in Fitzroy which is only a short tram ride from the city (number 112 from Collins St). Well know to locals for its many bars, cafes, restaurants and pubs that come to life at any hour of the day. Brunswick Street’s eating and drinking establishments vary widely from old style pubs to the hippest wine bar and from an organic vegetarian restaurant to hamburger and souvlaki cafes.

Brunswick Street crosses over Johnston Street which has a more Spanish feel to it, lined with Spanish bars and music, it is a popular place to stop off for a salsa or maybe even some paella. A Latin Street festival is held every year around late November that is popular with the Spanish community, tourists and locals alike.
