Dropbears, Well you've read we have plenty of sheep, cattle, kangaroos,,, but  Dropbears? Well they are an evil species of koala that fall from trees and attack humans.  Haven't seen one yet,, but there are lots of Americans who haven't visited here yet who believe the stories!

Phar Lap was Australia's greatest race horse winning 37 of his 51 starts. And was one of the bright moments during the great depression of the 1930s.  Phar Lap is a Melbourne Museums proudest exhibit drawing thousands each year to see this magnificent beast.

Another animal fact, Unfortunately the rascally rabbit outnumbers just about everything in Australia. There are 16 rabbits to every sheep- these bred from 16 of the pests which were introduced from England back in 1859, just to remind the bloke of home.....spose he couldn't bring soap!
