ANZAC Biscuits

 

Ingredients

1 cup Unsalted Butter
2 tablespoon Golden Syrup (sugar cane)
1 cup Plain Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 cup Rolled Oats
1 cup Flaked Coconut
1 cup Sugar
 

 

Instructions


In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and the golden syrup with a hand-held electric mixer.
Slowly add the flour, baking powder, rolled oats, coconut, and sugar; mix well.

Roll the dough into 2-inch balls and place well apart on a well greased baking tray.

Bake for about 12 - 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cool on the baking tray before removing to store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

 

Makes about 24 biscuits
